The Deák Restaurant is the sites and mellowed building of the Deák square in Sopron, the longest one in Middle Europe. The building which can be found at the corner of the Deák square and the Elisabeth street was built by the famous architect Antal Ullein in 1891. Sopron people were gathering here, young lovers found each other while the elder generation kept good memories at this place.The owners insisted on tradition and renovated the restaurant and the popular garden in 2011. Deák is caracterised by quality, the meeting point of old and new, comfort and reform of the kitchen. By the renovation and placing the statue of Ferenc Deák on the building, the owners intented to pay a tribute to the memory of the great patriot.
