What Services Does the Hungarian Hotel & Restaurant Association Provide for Its Members?

  • Professional, taxation-related and legal consultation

  • Information about the results of the Hungarian hotel industry; actual issues
  • Preferential conditions at associate, exclusive associate and strategic associate members of HHRA.

Exhibitions:


  • Associate and strategic associate members, who have held a membership in the Association for a minimum of three months, may exhibit at regional meetings and the General Assembly in a designated area.

One table and two chairs are at their disposal. They may place their marketing tools behind or in front of the table (depending on the location), as wide as the table and not higher than two meters if it fits. In case members wish to display their own counter, machine or a bed, etc., a table will not be provided.  Exhibitors offering food or drinks for tasting purposes contributing to coffee breaks may have an extra table or equal space.

 

  • For Exclusive Associate Members:

They may exhibit at regional meetings and at the General Assembly at a previously agreed to prime location under the same conditions which the associate members enjoy. In addition they may place two roll-ups in the meeting room, not exceeding onr meter in width and two meters in height, if it fits, or other marketing tools of the same size.

 

  • For the Main Sponsors:

They may appear at regional meetings and at the General Assembly among the exhibitors, at a previously agreed to prime location, according to conditions of associate members.

They may place in the meeting room and in a previously agreed upon location a pop-up or a press wall not exceeding four meters in width and 2.3 meters in height, if they fit.

A roll-up may be placed in each section room with a maximum width of one meter and a maximum height of two meters, if they fit.

Folders and flyers may be placed on previously agreed upon tables (not on chairs) in the meeting room and section rooms.


What Are the Conditions of Membership?


Hotels, pensions, hotel chains, restaurants, organizations, maintaining hospitality businesses and professional educational institutions can be members of the Association.


The conditions of the membership are  that the member accepts the objectives of the Association as written in the Bylaws of the Association, contributes to their implementation, submits to the provisions of the Code of Ethics and the Executive Committee approves the enrollment.


Hotels, Pensions:

Domestic hotels with a valid operating license, independent hotels or members of a hotel chain, hotels of foreign owners in Hungary, hotels of Hungarian owners abroad, business organizations maintaining pensions

Hotel Chains:

Hungarian or foreign, independent hotel chains


Restaurants, Pastry shops:

Organizations which maintain restaurants and other high quality catering businesses.


Educational institutions:

Educational institutions providing training in the field of tourism


Associate members:

Associate member: a business organization (supplier, service provider, bank, consultant, educational institution etc.), that wants to help to achieve the objectives of the Association.

Strategic Associate member: a business organization (supplier, service provider, bank, consultant, educational institution etc.) with which – besides the rights and obligations of Associate members – the HHRA closely cooperates regarding certain issues by a special agreement which is mutually beneficial.

Exclusive Associate member: a business organization, (supplier, service provider, etc.) to which the Association grants an exclusive right - among the Associate Members – to offer a certain product, product group, or a service to the members of the Association, this way having been given a promotional opportunity within the Association. The Association negotiates a special agreement with the Exclusive Associate Member, in which the conditions of cooperation are established.
